I have been coloring my hair for approximately 8 years now. Being the type of person who can’t stay for long hours in the Salon, I have managed to learn how to color my own hair at home. My sister actually taught me how to do it and ever since then, I have made this my periodic activity.

I love maintaining a lush vibrant color up to my roots, but I did change shades too from time to time! I have actually tested various shades, usually along the golden brown category. It was a discovery process… and sometimes in the interest of saving money, I also kept to just one shade per year. True, finding your shade can be tricky, but there will come a time when you will also find that perfect color for you.

Featured in this video is the color that I have stuck with for the last 2 years. The Rose Gold 8.22 L’Oreal Fashion Excellence has proven to be the easiest shade to manage for me. It is not too golden so it wont show the striking contrast from my dark regrowth. It is also not too dark that it can still change the way I really look. Another thing is that it gives off an obvious change from my natural hair tint without the need to bleach my hair first.
