The best way to apply for the National Bureau of Investigations (NBI) Clearance would be to:

1.       Have a globe mobile number

2.       Have a personal email address

3.       Be in metro manila to make use of this method of application

In paying via Gcash, it also means you must have a globe number. Also, after paying (Fee varies depending on the purpose of applying for the NBI Clearance), you need to use a globe number to send them a text message. This text message is your appointment schedule for your photo and biometrics.

Choose a globe store which has very minimal people and transactions because you will fall in line for the NBI Clearance payment. After payment, you will receive an email stating a reference number and steps on how to schedule your appointment via text messaging. This is what you need to send:

You have to choose an office (or satellite office) to schedule your appointment, that is what the location code is for. I listed the outlets below with the corresponding text location code. Only people who are in metro manila can avail of this process because only metro manila offices have the location code.

After 2 hours, I received a confirmation schedule. It was 2 hours off my requested hour of appointment but it is still the same day I requested for so it was fine. I went to the satellite office immediately, and did not have to fall in line. They took my photo and biometrics, and then they told me to come back in 7 days. A piece of paper will be handed over to you with a schedule of your return. You will have to surrender this paper on the said schedule.

I returned 7 days after (including weekends in this count) and I got my clearance after 7 minutes.
